The Communications Manager leads on-site and regional communication activities that utilize external and internal communication channels.  Including, but not limited to PR, working with the press, community groups, the intranet and other internal communications tools.  Social media management designated for the internal staff and outside of the facility.  Organizing events internally and in the community.  The individual in this role will also be responsible for the training of team members on communication protocols.

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Business, Communications, Public Relations or similar degree

A minimum of 8 years of recent or current communication’s experience and 4 plus years in a similar titled management role 

Preferable work experience within a medical group or hospital

Experience with Public Relations, public speaking, written and verbal communications with the Press/media

Able to manage internal and external communications, Intranet, marketing events and programs 

Experienced with managing projects

Strong user skills with the Microsoft Office Suite
